What is Darna by Aldar?
Darna is a unique lifestyle loyalty programme that rewards every interaction you have with Aldar and its partners. We offer spectacular experiences and reward you when you live, work, play, stay, shop, study or have any experience with Aldar or its partners.
How can I get access to Darna?
Registration is easy and free. Simply download the Darna mobile application (App) from the iOS or Android store and register using your email address and mobile number.
What is the benefit of having the Darna App?
Darna is an exciting app-based loyalty programme that offers the earning and redemption of points on all eligible purchases across Aldar and its partners. It also opens exciting rewards and benefits which you’ll only find across Aldar assets and its partners.
Which languages is the Darna App available in?
The Darna App is available in English and Arabic.
REGISTRATION
Can I have more than 1 Darna account?
No. You can only have one individual Darna account that is registered to your first name, last name, email address and mobile phone number.
Will I need to provide personal details when registering with Darna?
You can register with your first name, last name, email address and mobile phone number. It is helpful to provide more personal details in the profile section so we can send you personalised and relevant offers and information.
How old do I have to be to become a Darna Member?
To qualify for membership, you must be 18 years of age or older.
MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT
How do I update my details in my account?
It's easy! Follow these steps:
- Navigate to your profile.
- Click on the “Settings” icon on the top right side.
- Click on “Personal Details”.
- Make the necessary changes to the applicable fields and then click on “Save”. If you need to update the unclickable fields, please contact us at customerservice@darnarewards.com, and we'll be happy to help.
Can I use a non-UAE mobile number to register to Darna?
To register for Darna, you must use an active UAE mobile number. Non-UAE mobile numbers are not eligible for registration.
I can't log in to my account – what should I do?
First, check the steps below. If you still need further assistance, contact us at customerservice@darnarewards.com, and we'll be happy to help.
- Check that you have entered your phone number correctly.
- Check that the phone number you have entered is the same as the one you used to set up your account.
Why should I customise my account?
Keeping your preferences up to date will ensure you're getting the most from the programme. After all, no one likes to miss out on great rewards and benefits.
Your account also allows you to manage subscriptions to our communications.
How can I check my Darna points balance?
You can view your points balance on the App home screen.
LOYALTY & MEMBERSHIP
What are Darna points?
Darna points are an exclusive loyalty currency that you earn when making transactions with Aldar and its partners. These Darna points can then be saved up and redeemed via several redemption channels.
EARNING DARNA POINTS
How do I earn Darna points?
Darna points are earned each time you make a transaction with Aldar and its partners. We've made the process as easy as possible, so you get the best experience. Points are earned on AED spend value excluding VAT amount.
Shopping & Hotels
When shopping in Aldar malls and community centers, enjoying a meal, or indulging in a spa at any of Aldar hotels, we're using the latest technology that allows you to earn and spend points by linking your Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card to your Darna App. You can link up to five (5) of your credit or debit cards. All points earned are automatically credited to your account within a maximum of 15 days.
Living and Education
If you lease a property with Asteco, use Inspire Home (formerly Khidmah) home maintenance, or enroll a child at one of Aldar Academies, you will receive Darna points within seven days of successfully making a payment.
Note: New property purchases will not be qualified for Darna points. All past qualified purchases, having subsequent payments, will remain eligible for Darna points.
Aldar Gift Card
- If you purchase an Aldar Gift Card using your linked card at the Customer Service desk in any of Aldar malls, your transaction will be eligible for Darna points.
- Issuing an Aldar Gift Card using points redemption does not qualify for Darna points earning.
- All purchases using an Aldar Gift Card are not eligible for Darna points.
Can I purchase additional Darna points?
At the moment, Darna points can only be earned through your transactions; they cannot be purchased.
How long do my Darna points last for?
Starting 1st December 2025, your Darna points will be valid for 18 months from the date you earn them. For example, points earned on 10 December 2025 will expire on 10 June 2027. You get until the last day of the 18th month from earn before points expire.
What happens to the validity of the points I collected before 1st December 2025?
Any Darna points earned before 1st December 2025 will continue to have a validity of 24 months from the date of earning.
How can I see when my points will expire?
You can see when and how many of your points are expiring, and the relevant dates, in the Darna App under Wallet → Points Summary.
Does my points expiry date change if I move tier?
No. Points expiry is based on when you earned the points, not your tier.
Is there a limit on how much I can spend to earn points?
No, there is no limit. However, certain earn categories, campaigns or partner offers may have a maximum cap on the total points you can earn.
Can I earn points on purchases made before I was a member of Darna?
According to the programme’s T&C, points cannot be earned on purchases made before you became a member of Darna.
How many Darna Points do I earn for each AED 100 spent?
The higher your tier, the more points you earn on most categories.

REDEEMING DARNA POINTS
Where can I use my Darna points?
You can use your Darna points across Aldar assets and its partners. This includes:
- Retail Assets – Yas Mall, Jimi Mall, WTC, Al Hamra Mall, The Galleria Al Maryah Island
- Residential Communities – Community retail outlets (Retail) – restaurants and stores
- Hotels – F&B, spa & fitness centers
- Schools – Aldar Academies
- Inspire Home (formerly Khidmah) – in-home services
- Golf courses – Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and Yas Acres Golf and Country Club
- Beaches – Saadiyat Beach Club, Sol Beach, Kai Beach, etc. (Rewards only)
- Yas Island – Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros and Clymb (Rewards only)
What is the AED value of my Darna Points when I redeem them?
The value of points redeemed varies by mode of redemption. You can find the value of points redeemed by mode of redemption in the Darna App.
How do I redeem my Darna points?
Redeeming points is as easy as earning them! Here's how to do it.
Redeem for Aldar Gift Card
- Log in to the Darna app.
- Go to the “Wallet” → “Redeem”.
- Choose “Get Aldar Gift Card” → “Redeem”.
- Enter the AED value you wish to redeem. The equivalent number of Darna Points will be shown on the screen.
- Press “Redeem” and you will receive the Voucher / Reference Code.
- Approach any of the Customer Service desks in any participating mall (Yas Mall, WTC in Abu Dhabi, Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain, Al Hamra Mall in Ras Al Khaimah, The Galleria Al Maryah Island) and share the code with the Aldar Customer Service agent.
- The agent will take note of the reference number and provide you with the gift card for the equivalent amount. Please note the Gift Card process and documentation will be followed at this stage.
Note: Minimum redemption value is AED 50.00 and maximum redemption is AED 36,000. An annual cumulative limit of AED 36,000 per customer applies on Gift Card redemption.
Redeem for Value Back to your linked Card
After activating your “Wallet” in the Darna app, you can select redeeming your points against an Aldar Gift Card, home maintenance discount vouchers, value back to your linked card(s), donating to a charity and contributing to mangrove planting in the UAE.
Note: “Value Back” option is only available to your linked card with a maximum amount of AED 2,000 daily.
Redeeming points in LIVING (leasing & Inspire Home - home services only) and EDUCATION
To spend your points at Asteco, Inspire Home (formerly Khidmah), or Aldar Academies you'll just need to:
- Open the Darna App.
- Go to the “Wallet” tab and select the “Redeem” option.
- Select the category you want to spend (redeem) at.
- Add the value in AED you wish to spend (redeem) and press “Redeem” to get your voucher.
- Present the voucher to the Cashier.
You'll then get a success screen showing how much you've redeemed in AED. The cashier will reduce your invoice by that amount.
Donate to Charity
- Log in to the Darna app.
- Go to the “Wallet” → “Redeem” option.
- Select “Points Donation” → preferred charity.
- Enter the AED value you wish to donate → Redeem.
- Your contribution will be donated as cash to your chosen charity.
DARNA OFFERS
Does Darna provide rewards and offers in addition to points?
Yes! In addition to being able to earn and spend points at your favorite Aldar locations and its partner hotspots, we also provide our members with extra special Aldar exclusive offers which include percent discounts, add-ons and more.
How do I search for offers in my Darna App?
Searching for brands and offers is easy. If you know what you're looking for, then type the keywords into the search field. Or if you're looking for a bit of inspiration, simply browse through the category options and explore everything Aldar and its partners have!
Remember to keep your location services on so you can always find out what is closest to you.
What do I do if my points are not credited to my account?
You have up to 30 days from the date of the transaction to claim missing points. If your points are not credited or if you need to claim missing points, please contact us on customerservice@darnarewards.com.
We advise keeping a copy of your credit card receipt to aid in the complaint process. This documentation serves as proof of the transaction and will assist us in resolving any issues you may have experienced.
Is it possible to earn Darna points and redeem them instantly?
Darna points appear in your app as pending points under Recent Transaction. However, it takes up to 15 days for these points to be eligible for redemption.
DARNA TIER SYSTEM
What is the tier structure within the Darna App?
With Darna, you get more benefits with each tier. The higher the tier the bigger and better the benefits. The activity on your account over a 12-month (past 365 days) period determines your tier.
Your participation in Darna gives you access to a range of exclusive benefits the moment you join the programme. Tier upgrades are according to the amount of Tier Credits earned which is linked to your AED spend and location of spend.
Each tier upgrade opens the door to even more services and VIP treatment!
Do I earn more Darna points in higher tiers?
Yes. With each higher tier you earn more Darna points on your spend. You can view the detailed earn rates in the table under “How many Darna Points do I earn for each AED 100 spent?” above.
What are Tier Credits?
Tier credits help you move between Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers and unlock tier associated benefits.
What is the difference between Tier Credits and Darna Points?
Darna Points hold a monetary (AED) value. This is what you spend on rewards.
Tier Credits cannot be redeemed. They help you move between Silver, Gold and Platinum.
How are Tier Credits calculated?
Tier credits are calculated based on your spend and location of spend.

How can I redeem Tier Credits?
Tier credits do not have a monetary value thus are not eligible for redemption. These credits are simply a measure to help you move up and down tiers.
How do I move from the Silver tier to Platinum tier?
On joining Darna, based on your transactions with Aldar, you will be awarded tier status. Moving from one tier to the other (Silver to Gold and Platinum) is based on the Tier Credits you collect. You will unlock new benefits each time you progress to a new tier. To view all the benefits per tier, simply click on “Tiers” in your app.
To achieve a tier you need to earn the following Tier Credits in the past 365 days:
- Silver tier: 0 to 14,999 Tier Credits
- Gold Tier: 15,000 to 34,999 Tier Credits
- Platinum: 35,000 and more Tier Credits
What are tier based benefits?
Each tier enjoys a different set of benefits. You can find the tier-based benefits detailed in your Darna App.
How long are Darna Tier benefits valid?
All Darna Tier Benefits are valid for the duration the member is in the associated tier. Other seasonal offers will have different validity periods indicated with the respective offers.
Why have I lost my status? How can I get it back?
Your tier status is based on your Tier Credits in the past 12 months (365 days) commencing from your membership enrollment date or your last tier movement.
To retain a tier status, you'll need to make sure you meet the Tier Credits threshold, as shown above.
Do I earn more Darna points in higher tier?
Yes. The higher your tier the more Darna points you earn for your spend. Tier benefits can be found on the Darna app.

What happens to my points in the event of a cancellation or refund?
In the event of a cancellation or refund, Aldar reserves the right to revoke points awarded based on the original transaction value.
If your points have been spent before the refund/cancellation, Aldar will deduct the value of points (in AED) from the balance of the refund due.
LINK A CARD
How do I link my Visa and MasterCard?
If you have a Visa or MasterCard debit or credit card:
- Go to the “Wallet” section in the app.
- Select “+ Add Card”.
- Follow the steps to link or add a card.
How many cards can I link?
You can link up to 5 Visa or MasterCard debit or credit cards at any time.
ARABIC LANGUAGE
How can I change my Darna app to Arabic?
You can select the Arabic language as your preferred language in the “Settings” section of the app. Just click on the “Profile” button on your home screen.
